Dura-Band increases revenue - Learn how independent facilities and major medical system rehabilitation providers have learned to Collect 20%-30% and even 40% more per patient:
Reimbursement by several insurance codes - How it works:
- CODE 1 - When a Dura-Band Rehab System is issued to a patient, CPT Code 97535 may be billed for the time the Clinician spends with the patient in the training, instruction and setup of the system. For You, Inc. consulted with renowned coding and billing experts on the utilization of this code when dispensing the unique Dura-Band Rehab System.
The treating medical professional can actually simulate for the patient within the facility the identical conditions for use within their home.
When billed at $35.00, each 15 minutes, average Medicare reimbursement is $27.00 per unit.
- CODE 2 - Due to the unique abilities of Dura-Band systems to attach anywhere on the body and the versatility of emulating functional activities and exercise in the home with resistance, billing code 97530 (Therapeutic Activities) is often used in conjunction with this system as well.
In Addition- code 97110 (Therapeutic Exercise) should be billed as it typically is for a home or clinic exercise program.
- CODE 3 - When a Dura-Band Rehab System is issued to a patient, other supply codes may be billed such as A9300 (General Exercise Equipment) for the system itself. Workman's Comp and Auto regularly reimburse for the system and a variety of other insurers are realizing the benefits of Dura-Band. (Use codes to which you are accustomed).
When billed at $30.00 for Dura-Band Rehab System, the average reimbursements are $5.00 to $40.00 depending on insurance. (Minimum amount $5.00 used for calculations).
- SAVINGS - Therapists on average give away to each patient two, 3 to 4 foot pieces of Thera-Band® or similar thin elastic bands.
Switching to Dura-Band earns savings to facility of $3.00 to $3.50 per patient.
Conservative TOTAL AVERAGE NET REIMBURSEMENT/Savings ON FIRST VISIT: $35.00 to $45.00.
On follow up visits you may continue to bill CPT Code 97535 or 97530 accordingly for additional revenue.
Continue to use CPT Code 97110 in the same manner as you are accustomed.
